Successful introduction at World Expo 2025 Osaka
Mr István Döbrei, Secretary-General of the International Table Volleyball Federation (ITVF), visited Japan to introduce table volleyball by TEQVOLY™ and hold discussions with relevant sports and diplomatic organisations. During his stay, he participated in various activities designed to foster mutual understanding and explore potential future collaborations in Japan.
At the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, Mr Döbrei presented table volleyball by TEQVOLY™, providing an exclusive firsthand introduction of the sport to both visitors and international stakeholders. The presentation highlighted the competitive features of the sport and its potential for national activities and international tournament development in Japan. The presentation was held in cooperation with Mr Keiichiro Yoshida, Board Chairman of Table Volleyball Japan, who has highlighted the main cornerstones of the development of table volleyball in Japan. The presentation held in the Pavilion of Hungary attracted significant interest from sports-related audiences.
The recent visit indicates that table volleyball by TEQVOLY™ has entered a phase of recognition-building in Japan, marking a significant step towards future international event hosting and domestic sports development, both in Japan and Asia. The ITVF, in collaboration with its Japanese member organisation, will continue to engage with national organisations of Japan to promote the sport, enhance cultural exchange, and create opportunities for athletes, fans, and partners.
